A tractor is a huge investment and many farmers want theirs to last a long time. The best way to keep your tractor running smoothly is by performing preventative maintenance. Engine belts – The belts on your tractor are essential for spinning the internal components like the alternator, hydraulic pumps, battery charger and cutting blades. Examine them regularly for weather abrasion, rotting and cracking. If they crack or break, you will need to replace them as soon as possible. When you need new Solis Tractors, consider

Air Filter – Every 50 hours, change the air filter to maintain proper air flow through the engine. It also makes the job of cleaning the carburetor much easier, reducing the amount of dirt that needs to be cleaned out of the fuel system.

Hydraulic hoses – Check regularly for signs of cracking or wear and replace immediately if needed. Using clean water, rinse away dirt and debris that can build up in the hydraulic hoses to keep them from becoming pinhole leaks.

Greasing – Make sure to grease all of the exposed fittings on your tractor on a regular basis. Keeping a grease gun handy and utilising it often can prevent issues such as loose nuts and bolts, which will lead to a rough or jerky ride. It is also a good idea to create a maintenance log book, as this will make it easier for you to remember the date that you performed the last grease job.
