There is so much History – Dublin has a long and complicated history, spanning over 1000 years, and there are parts of Dublin’s’ colourful heritage all over the city. Kilmainham Gaol is a popular attraction in Dublin, it was closed in the 1920s, but was the home of some of Dublin’s’ most famous prisoners, including members of the 1916 rising before this and attracts many visitors. It is said to be haunted by the ghost of Joseph Emmett, who married the love of his life Grace Gifford here hours before his execution.

Coastal Escapes – Many people wouldn’t associate a bustling city with a gorgeous coastline, but Dublin has both – you do not have to travel very far either to the north of the city or the South, and you will come across plenty of stunning coastal towns, where you can enjoy the bracing sea air, sample some of the exquisite seafood, and build sandcastles on the beautiful beaches. Dublin is a town where you really can have the best of both worlds!
