Capacity and Layout Flexibility
Confirm the maximum number of delegates your room can hold and ask how the room can be laid out to suit your requirements. A single fixed layout such as theatre style is not ideal for a day long event and may limit how your day is run.
AV Equipment and Wi-Fi
Don’t be fooled by a venue saying they have ‘good Wi-Fi’. Ask for the upload and download speed of the Wi-Fi. Also ask if the Wi-Fi bandwidth is shared with other guests staying at the hotel or if it is dedicated to your event. Also ask if screens, microphones and projectors are included in the room hire and if there is a technician on hand to set up and to operate the equipment.

Parking and Transport Access
The A55 runs through Llandudno and many delegates travelling to conference venues will be arriving by car. So it is vital that there is parking nearby. Not only that but also find out how many spaces are available and if there is a charge. Also find out about public transport links to and from the conference venue, such as trains.
Breakout and Informal Spaces
A full-day conference event also needs space for individual work, calls, etc. during the day. Ask how many breakout rooms there are and whether they are included in the hire charge for the main room or are charged separately.
Hybrid and Remote Attendance
