  • Competency questions – these are the questions that will focus on highlighting whether you meet the essential and any of the desirable skills and knowledge that were highlighted on the person specification.
  • Strengths questions – these will often look at ways in which you have helped out customers or dealt with difficult situations. They look at your ability to be able to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Situational questions – these are where you may be given a scenario and asked how you would have dealt with the situation. It helps to identify whether you can make decisions and how well you work with other people.
