SCUDERIA CAMERON GLICKENHAUS WILL LAUNCH SUPERCAR WITH CENTRAL SEAT

In the absence of American super cars with a central engine, such as the Ford GT, the American Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus has released a car of this category that dares to challenge others. It is the 004S, which is shown for the first time in computer-generated illustrations.

Interesting facts about this super car

The lines presented are inherited from its predecessor, SCG 003, which was sold for almost two million dollars. With the 004 the perspective will be different to integrate a 5.0-liter twin-turbo engine of 650 horsepower and 530 lb.-ft. of torque, which will be managed by a 6-speed manual transmission or through pallets behind the steering wheel, towards rear tires. Virtually the entire car is built in carbon fiber, thus achieving a total weight of 1180 kg.

Perhaps the most interesting thing about this supercar is the position of the seats by adopting the style and form of what we saw for the first time with the McLaren F1, by positioning the driver’s place in the center and forward, while the two passengers go in each side.

Street version

Probably that is only for the “street version”, since there will be another version only for use on the track, which instead of carrying the letter S at the end of its name, will carry the letter C and that is where we can see the great resemblance to the race cars of different categories where the manufacturer has a presence, such as the GTE, GT Le Mans and GT4. In fact, the 004 is expected to make its debut at the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring in 2019.

Regarding the street car, it will start manufacturing the following year with only 25 scheduled units and a price of $ 400,000 each, later the US Company expects to build 250 cars between 2020 and 2021.
